A question decides who goes into the gunge tank. A random number between 1 and 99 is then placed on to the tank out of view of the contestant on the hotseat. She then has 9 attempts to guess the number, only being told whether the number is higher or lower than her previous guess. If she guesses within the 9 attempt, she swaps and gets to gunge her opponent. If she fails, she gets instantly gunged.
